With a playoff spot all but locked up, the O'Neill Eagles were simply motivated by pride as they looked to go 8-0 with a win over Wayne Friday night.
They did just that.
The Eagles took down Wayne 37-14 to finish a perfect regular season.
Quarterback Alex Thramer finished 13 of 19 for 186 yards and a touchdown on the night. He finishes the season with 1,359 yards, 19 touchdowns and zero interceptions for the Eagles.
Bailey Thompson led O'Neill on the ground with 97 yards and two touchdowns. Jacob Todd, Shayne Campbell and Thramer all added a rushing touchdown as well.
Thramer's top target through the air was Wyatt Liewer, hauling in six catches for 85 yards and a touchdown.
With the regular season now finished, the Eagles await the announcement of their first round opponent for next Friday's game.
