Used Items for Sale

O'Neill Public Schools is selling some used Apple MacBooks, iPad Minis, and projectors.  The devices have been restored to the original state and cleared of all files and applications. The cost varies depending on the device. Sex Offender Notification

The Nebraska Legislature has enacted the Nebraska Sex Offender Registration Act. The Act requires sex offenders to register with the local county sheriff where they reside. O'Neill Public Schools will notify staff members, parents, and students of any registered sex offenders residing in the school district by providing a link to such information as provided by the State of Nebraska. 2022-2023 Breakfast and Lunch Program

BREAKFAST & LUNCH PROGRAM School Meal Program Returns to Pre-Pandemic Status for 22-23 School Year USDA did not extend the waivers covering the school meal cost for all students. Student meals will return to regular pricing (free, reduced, and paid). Featured New Staff - Mrs. Lynn Wattier

Lynn (Parks) Wattier is a familiar face to the Eagle family.  Lynn graduated from O'Neill High School in 1993.  She joins the OPS staff as a paraeducator as well as co-sponsoring the cheerleaders.  Lynn and her husband Eric have five children, Tyler Wattier (29), Shelby Wattier (27), Asher Parks Wattier (22), Keaton Wattier (18), and Brooklyn Wattier (16).  Keaton and Brooklyn are currently students at OHS.   We are excited to have Lynn and her family as part of the O'Neill Eagle family.

Featured New Staff - Mariah (Mo) Utter

Mariah Utter, more commonly known as Mo, has joined the Eagle family as the Elementary Art and Technology teacher.  Mo grew up in Brewster and graduated from Fort Hays State.  This will be her first year teaching.  Previously she was working at Handlebend Copper Shop.  She has an adorable dog named Rasta and is excited for the opportunity to share her love of art with the students at O'Neill Elementary School.  

Featured New Staff - Mrs. Jill Romesser

Jill Romesser has joined the O'Neill family as the special education van driver.  Jill is married to Aaron Romesser.  They have four children attending OPS, Brayden, Hailey, Jailyn, and Coltyn.  We are excited to have Jill and her entire family as O'Neill Eagles.

Featured New Staff - Mr. Shane Kruse

Welcome Back to Mr. Shane Kruse!  Mr. Kruse was the Elementary Art teacher a few years ago.  He left O'Neill to be closer to family and as fate would have it, he was able to move back to the area and join O'Neill Public Schools as the High School Art teacher.  He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney.  He grew up in Gothenburg.  He and his wife currently reside in Ainsworth with their four children.  Mr. Kruse is excited to join the Eagle family once again!

Featured New Staff - Mrs. Chelsea Bertschinger

Mrs. Chelsea Bertschinger is new to O'Neill Public Schools.  She will be teaching third grade and language arts.  Chelsea is a graduate from Creighton High School and Wayne State College.  She and her husband recently moved to O'Neill and are very excited to start their lives together in our community.

Featured New Staff - Mr. Nick Arlt

Mr. Nick Arlt has joined the 6th Grade Team at O'Neill Elementary School.  Nick's hometown is Oakland, Nebraska and is a graduate of Wayne State College!  He has previously taught math at Schuyler Middle School.  He is looking forward to teaching reading, social studies, and math to our students.  He will also be assisting with the High School wrestling coaching duties.  We are excited to have Mr. Arlt as an O'Neill Eagle!

Featured New Staff - Mrs. Katie Oberle

Mrs. Katie Oberle has joined the Jr-Sr High School staff as an English teacher and yearbook sponsor.  Katie is very familiar to the Eagle family, as she grew up here and graduated from O'Neill High School.  Katie received her Bachelor's degree from UNL and is currently working on her Masters through UNK.  Katie has previously taught English at Kearney High School and most recently at Orchard High School (now Summerland).  Katie and her husband Nick Oberle were recently married in February . . .

Mrs. DeAnna Clifton will be joining the Special Education staff at O'Neill Public Schools for the 2021-2022 school year.  DeAnna has been teaching special education for 17 years, previously at Neligh-Oakdale and most recently as the Early Childhood Special Education teacher at ESU#8.  DeAnna is a Wayne State College grad and has received her Masters degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in Early Childhood Special Education.  Mrs. Clifton and her husband Ben have two children, Peyton and . . .

Mrs. Kara Dusatko will be joining the Elementary staff as a 6th Grade Teacher.  She grew up in Pierce, Nebraska and graduated from Northeast Community College, Wayne State and received her Masters degree from Doane in Crete, Nebraska.  Mrs. Dusatko will be beginning her 19th year as an educator.  She has previously taught at Ewing, Neligh-Oakdale, Adams Central and most recently Chambers Public School.  Kara and her husband, Brad, have three children - Alyssa, a senior, and Grant and Lauryn, freshmen . . .

O'Neill Public Schools is excited to welcome Mr. William Wragge as the new Junior-Senior High School Principal. Mr. Will Wragge, a Pierce, Nebraska native and a Wayne State College graduate, comes to us from Riverside Public Schools (a Cedar Rapids and Spalding consolidation).  While at Riverside he taught 9-12 Social Studies and was the Athletic Director.  Will also spent 5 years coaching football as well as girls' basketball.  Will, his wife, Katie, and their 18 month old daughter, Ella are thrilled to . . .

Enrichment Opportunities
