Education: Attended and graduated from Kenesaw Public High School in 1986. Attended and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family Consumer Sciences in Business at the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 1993. In 2010, attended and received a Certified Public Management Certification from the University of Nebraska in Omaha. Currently taking classes in graduate studies at the University of Nebraska at Kearney for an additional endorsement in initial certification in Special Education: Mild/ Moderate Disabilities, K-6, Master of Arts in Education Program.
Assignment: Paraeducator
Former experience: I worked with families with children with special needs from birth to age 3, throughout eleven counties of north-central Nebraska. In this, I worked closely with families to help coordinate medical and educational services and also, secure community resources related to their child’s needs. I have taughtSunday School at our church for many years and have been involved in several youth organizational activities. It is through these experiences and life that I realized, working with children is where my heart is and where I need to be.

Katy Rowan 26 Graduated from UNL in 2010 with my bachelors degree in elementary education and currently working on my masters degree through UNK 1st Grade Teacher I previously taught preschool at St.Mary's for one year and K-6 art at St.Mary's for two years I grew up in O'Neill and moved back after college My husband is Brook Rowan and we had our first daughter, Lauren, in April I love reading and playing golf! I also love spending time with my family! |
