Eagles Runner-Up at O'Neill JH Invite

Turner Jussel won two events as the O’Neill Junior High boys finished in second place at the annual invite held Tuesday in the Irish Capital. West Holt won the meet with 114 points. In what turned out to be a close three-team race, the Eagles were second with 112 and Neligh-Oakdale third with 107.
Jussel’s wins came in the 100 hurdles (17.16) and the 400 meters (60.44). He narrowly missed a third gold when he finished second in the 200 hurdles, just four-hundredths of a second behind the winner. He also finished sixth in the triple jump (33-6).
Mason Walsh also picked up a gold for the Eagles by winning the shot put with a toss of 41 feet.
