On Thursday, November 6th, the O’Neill High School Pep Band traveled to Vermillion, South Dakota. There, inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center, the band played for the USD vs UNO Volleyball match.
As the featured band that night, they played at pregame, between sets as well as time outs. In all the OHS Band played 17 tunes. This was the first time the band has performed at a collegiate sports event. “It was a great honor for USD to ask us to play at this volleyball match. I’m glad we were able to work it out. The kids really played well and enjoyed themselves.” commented band director Chad Dean.
The O’Neill High School Band will next perform at the Veterans Day Program on November 11th at St. Marys.
