Congratulations to the Junior High Quiz Bowl A Team on their championship today!

Congratulations to Tenzlie Sorensen, Rylee Selby, and Harley Kinnison for earning first team Mid-State All Conference and Grace Drueke honorable mention in Softball.

On Monday, November 3rd, 24 O’Neill Junior High Band members traveled to Ainsworth, NE to rehearse and perform in the 13th Annual Ainsworth Junior High Band Festival.
Over 150 students from 5 schools came together to make music that day. The7th/8th Grade Band was under the direction of Jared Opp, director of bands at Gregory School in South Dakota. “This was the first time the O’Neill Junior High Band has participated at this festival. It was an awesome experience to see all the band members perform with such a large ensemble. Our talented band members added to the great sound of the band. Overall it was a great day of making music!” commented O’Neill Band Director Chad Dean.

History was made today! 5th & 8th place in Wayne. The team will be back in action at Humphrey on the 6th. Mark your calendars for the home dual on the 11th at 3pm. Go Eagles!

On Thursday, October 30th, 23 O’Neill Junior High Choir members traveled to Tilden, NE to rehearse and perform in the 54th Annual Elkhorn Valley Junior High Choral Festival.
Over 500 students from 18 schools came together to make music that afternoon. The choir was under the direction of Barina Buresh Crosland, director of vocal music at Arlington Public Schools. “This was the first time the O’Neill Junior High Choir has participated at this festival. It was an awesome experience to see all the choir members perform with such a large ensemble. Our talented singers even added to the solo section on one song.Overall it was a great day of singing music!” commented Choir Director Chad Dean.

A reminder: We will dismiss at 12 pm on Friday for the Day of Irish Football. We will have periods 1-7 on that day. Students will have the opportunity to get a sack lunch before dismissal. The schedule for tomorrow will be as follows.

In recognition of "Day of Irish Football" O'Neill Public School will dismiss at 12:30 pm on Friday. Regular lunch will be provided at the Elementary School and sack lunches will be provided at the Jr-Sr High School. No afternoon preschool. Go Eagles and Go Cardinals! 🍀💪

Logan Bradshaw, senior French Horn player for O’Neill High School recently was informed that he made it into the NMEA All-State Band. He had practiced and recorded his audition earlier in the school year. The All-State Band only accepts 12 French Horns. Now Logan will travel to Lincoln and rehearse with the band on November 20 and 21 before performing at the Lied Center on Saturday November 22nd at 7:30 PM.

Outstanding season for the Eagle cross country team!

The Eagles will host the Mount Michael Benedictine Knights in the Class C1 Football Playoffs at 7pm on Friday, 10/31. Per NSAA guidelines, admission prices will be $8 for adults & $6 for students with no passes accepted.

The Eagles play a great 2nd half but come up just short at Lakeview, falling 29-19.

The Eagles trail the Vikings 21-0 at the half.
